Day One; Arrival Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by a New Adventure Safaris’ representative who will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay. Your professional safari guide will do the safari briefing during dinner time. Accommodation: Karama Lodge


Day Two; Manyara National Park You will depart early to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. The park is green throughout the year because of its underground water sources. Its verdant color attract hundreds of spectacular varieties of migratory and wetland birds flying overhead. It also attracts huge populations of flamingos because its shallow alkaline-saline (salt) soda lake that creates an ideal environment for microorganisms to grow that feed flamingos. Manyara's natural habitat also includes large troops of baboons, velvet monkeys, blue monkeys, and tree climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, warthogs, impalas, Thomson-gazelles, and Grant gazelles. Leopards, cheetahs, rock/tree hyrax, kudus, elands, bushbucks, waterbucks, and dik-diks also live in this park. Accommodation: Endoro Lodge


Day Three; Manyara Recreational Activities and Cultural Visit. A full day of recreational activities and cultural visit in Karatu and Mto Wa Mbu area. The activities include; *Mountain Biking/ Cycling Duration; 2.5 to 3hrs *Forest Hike Duration; 2.5 to 3hrs *Nature Walk Duration; 1hr to 1.5hrs *Village Walk Duration; 2.5 to 3hrs *Lake Manyara Canoeing Duration; 2.5 to 3hrs You can participate in more than two of the activities mentioned above; two activities of your choice are included in the package. Day Two” Day Four; Archeological Site Visit and Serengeti Game Viewing Departing for Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands, en route to the Serengeti , you will pass through Olduvai Gorge, an archeological site discovered by Dr Louis and Mary Leakey, considered the birth place of mankind. You will not only visit this historical site but also receive a presentation about the site. You will later drive to the Serengeti for dinner and overnight and will enjoy game along the way. Day Five; Serengeti National Park A full day of game viewing over the Serengeti Plains. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves. It is the greatest natural phenomenon on earth, the “Great Migration” for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. The Great Migrations includes more than 2.5 wildebeests driven by ancient rhythms and natural instincts following water sources in a clockwise cycle traveling 600 miles per year. The Serengeti is also the best destination for viewing big cats and other wildlife species. In the evening, drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge


Day Six; Walking/Trekking Safari and Cultural Visit We depart to trek in the Ngorongoro Highlands and climb into the ancient Empakai Crater to explore the crater's caldera lake floor where 1,000’s of flamingos nest and fly overhead as we descend. While in the area, we will stop by a traditional Maasai village nearby, visit Maasai homes (bomas) and participate in their daily way of life including various hands-on cultural activities plus join traditional dances and songs. Accommodation: Same as “Day Four”


Day Seven; Ngorongoro Crater Early departure for descent into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full day of game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater, formed 3 million years ago, is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the natural world and one of Africa's most remarkable geological sites. It is 100 square miles and drops a half mile and inhabited by a unique eco-system inhabited by 30, 000 animals. The Big Five and most of the animal species found in the Serengeti, including giraffes, zebra, hippos, wildebeest, and cheetahs, can be viewed in the Ngorongoro Crater close up. The Ngorongoro maintains the historic balance between people and nature in a way that is not possible in other parts of Africa. In the late afternoon, drive to Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Tindiga Tented Lodge


Day Eight; Lake Eyasi Cultural Visit Depart for cultural visit with the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of the most remote and last hunter-gatherer tribes on earth. We will participate in various interactive daily activities such as bush trekking, hunting, gathering honey and baobab fruits, chanting while sitting around the daily campfires made by rubbing sticks together, and tribal dances. We will "blend" into their way of life, as opposed to them blending into ours. In the evening, we join the Datoga tribe, another well preserved traditional tribe in the Lake Eyasi area, and participate in their daily activities such as making yogurt in a calabash, milking cows, making butter, and joining their traditional dances. Accommodation: Same as “Day Eight”


Day Nine; Arusha, Get Together/Goodbye Lunch or Dinner Drive back to Arusha for hot lunch. Zohar Team will organize a get together/goodbye lunch at River House (a restaurant and workshop that supports disabled people) near Cultural Heritage Museum. This special lunch/dinner will give you an opportunity to share your safari experience with us including your comments, suggestions, questions, new ideas etc. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
